It’s not a sequel to the other three recent Spider-man films.

This is a re-boot of the Sam Raimi series with British actor Andrew Garfield replacing Tobey Maguire in the superhero title role - alias awkward teenager Peter Parker.

The monstrous bad guy, played by Rhys Ifans, is Dr Curt Connors’ terrifying alter-ego - The Lizard.

It’s the familiar story of Parker’s super powers evolving but as he tries to discover the truth behind his parents, with a theme of him discovering himself in the process.

It returns to the comic book telling of the story, with Parker inventing artificial webs.

The film gets its general release on July 3. It will then be screened in 2D, 3D and at Cineworld Sheffield in IMAX 3D. Tickets are not yet on sale but watch out for details at and on Twitter @CineSheff.

Our 10 lucky winners and a guest each will be amongst the first people anywhere to see it. The regional preview will feature a live link from the UK premiere in Leicester Square, from 6.15pm.

Film fans will see the stars and film-makers arriving, plus interviews on the red carpet. The movie itself will then be screened simultaneously in Sheffield and London at 7.30pm.

All mobile phones and other recording devices will be surrendered, bagged and tagged as cinemagoers enter the theatre and guards will be in the screening with night vision goggles.

Our competition will also be subject to terms and conditions, including the classification of the film. British film censors have not yet rated it, but it is expected to follow the last Spider-Man film, as a 12A - which means anyone under-12 to be accompanied by an adult.
