A diversion is in place after a lorry reportedly got stuck under a 3m tall railway bridge in Rotherham.

Kilnhurst Bridge, which carries railway tracks running over Kilnhurst Road, near Rawmarsh, is closed this afternoon after a lorry got jammed underneath at around 1pm today (May 28).

The road links Dale Road and Kilnhurst and also serves a number of bus routes, such as Stagecoach service 218.

Kilnhurst Bridge has a road sign warning it is only 3.1m tall. The average UK HGV is 4m tall.
