Sheffield will wake up to snow and sleet showers but conditions will improve during the morning and sunny periods will develop.
However, it will remain cold and windy with temperatures only reaching a high of 3C.
Tonight temperatures will fall to -4C.
There is a weather warning in place for ice in South Yorkshire today on untreated surfaces.
