Children will receive goody bags with sweets, pencils and a special letter from Her Majesty at a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee street party in Sheffield.

The event on Stanwell Avenue, in Wincobank, on Saturday, June 4 is one of numerous celebrations taking place across the city during the long bank holiday weekend to mark the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

Sheffield’s Lord Mayor is due to open the party, organised by Lower Wincobank Tenants & Residents Association, which will also feature a children’s entertainer.
