A show home and 14 properties at Chapel Waters in the ex-mining village of Rhodesia will be ready in July, a month behind schedule.
The 10-acre greenfield site off the A57, some 20 miles from Sheffield, will have 111 houses, including 55 bungalows and 56 family homes. It will also have public space, a drainage system, a pond and a bird hide, developers BIG City Co say.

David Cross said early enquiries were strong from ‘first-time and last-time’ buyers.
He added: “Despite months of uncertainty in the construction industry, we are delighted to be able to say that Chapel Waters is progressing pretty much on schedule and our show home will be opening in July, just four weeks behind our planned launch date.”
Phase One prices start from £149,950.
Rhodesia was built in 1920 to house workers from the nearby Shireoaks and Steetley pits. It was named after the former chairman of the nearby Shireoaks Colliery, G. Preston Rhodes.
