Sheffield professor creates special bra to support women through breast radiotherapy​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ – ahead of her own breast cancer diagnosis

A Sheffield Hallam University researcher, who was instrumental in the development of a specially designed bra to support women through breast radiotherapy, has today been recognised for her exceptional contribution to keeping the nation healthy.

This mum is to run the London Marathon, inspired by her tiny, sick daughter

Amanda Wallace, from Mosborough in Sheffield, is a speech and language therapist, specialising in adult head and neck cancer. She has two daughters, seven year-old Mia and two year old Hannah, who is waiting for a third liver transplant. Amanda is  training for the London Marathon in a bid to raise funds for a cause  close to her heart, the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation.
