Seventeen shop and restaurant closures in Sheffield including Lloyds Bank, EE and Foot Locker

A well known independent clothing store is about to join the growing list of high street businesses to succumb to the cost-of-living crisis.

Miss Samantha’s Vintage in Walkley is on Saturday, January 7, with boss Sam Parsonage urging readers to use independent shops – “or lose us.” Here’s a look at some shops and restaurants we have lost.

Jeweller H Samuel closed its Fargate shop in 2021. The store had a revamp over Christmas and health testing firm Randox said it would open a private clinic there. It has since ditched the plan.
