Sheffield bar starts taking bookings again ahead of Boris Johnson’s lockdown update

BrewDog on Division Street in the city centre has invited punters to start booking their table for when pubs are officially allowed to reopen after lockdown.
The national pub and brewery chain which prides itself on providing craft beer, cider and pizza said they were ‘stoked’ to invite customers to reserve a place in the bar from May 2 on-wards.

Hide AdIt comes as Boris Johnson is expected to set out the road map for easing current national lockdown restrictions on February 22 – as the government confirmed over the weekend that it has met its Covid-19 vaccine target of immunising 15 million of the most vulnerable priority groups across the UK.
In a post on social media, BrewDog Sheffield wrote: "We’re stoked to announce that we're now taking reservations from 2nd May onwards.
“We don't know for sure but rumour has it that we may be able to open by May, so we're opening up our bookings in the hope that we can have you back!
“All of our covid-safety precautions will be in place, ensuring your visit is safe and enjoyable.

Hide AdDowning Street refused to comment on what the Prime Minister’s lockdown exit plan will include, including if Mr Johnson could rule out easing all legal restrictions by the end of April.
The Prime Minister’s official spokesman said: “I can’t pre-empt what’s going to be in the road map or the details of the review this week.”
