Sheffield businesses continue to support laptop campaign

TecSec Services Ltd, an IT and risk management specialist, has joined forces with the Laptops for Kids campaign to ensure children from all backgrounds are able to access the technology they need for online learning.

The campaign, which was launched by The Star, WANdisco and Learn Sheffield in September 2020, has been encouraging individuals and businesses to donate unused laptops.

Morton Bell, founder and director of TecSec, said: “Home schooling has highlighted the issue for thousands of young children who are falling behind with their education because they don’t have a device or cannot access the internet at home.

“Laptops for Kids is a fantastic initiative that we are proud to be part of in helping to ensure that every child today - and into the future - has the opportunity to safe internet access to fulfil their education potential.

“And as a father I passionately believe in equal opportunity to education and as a team, TecSec can help provide contacts, expertise and solutions to support the charity’s mission to close the digital divide.”
