SOTpay wants self-employed, field-based ‘payments consultant partners’ to find new clients across the country.

The recruitment drive comes after a record-breaking year for the firm, which won ‘Security Innovation Of The Year 2019’ at the national Payment Awards.

Chairman, Jason Mace said: "Gala Technology demonstrated exceptional growth in 2019, as more and more organisations look to protect their customers sensitive card information, whilst protecting themselves from the ever-growing threat of fraud related chargebacks and reducing cost and risk.

“Working with industry partners, we are now looking to expand our team and services to include other merchant services across a whole host of channels and create 50 jobs with exciting nationwide opportunities offering uncapped commissions and flexible working options."

SOTpay, which is based in Rotherham, serves sectors including retail, financial services, travel and hospitality and utilities.

​It enables merchants to process secure and PCI DSS compliant transactions via the telephone, email, SMS, web chat and social media channels, without the need for hardware.

The firm’s national award win in November came after it picked up five other awards in 2019 including the ‘PCI: 2019 Award For Excellence’.

Trade association UK Finance recorded 19 per cent growth in UK payment card fraud in 2018.
