Pupils told to self-isolate after Covid-19 case at another Sheffield primary school

Pupils at a Sheffield primary school have been advised to self-isolate after a confirmed case of Covid-19.

Pipworth Community Primary School in Manor has written to parents of those children being asked to stay at home.

The letter, shared with The Star, states: “We have been advised by Public Health England that there has been a confirmed case of Covid-19 within the school.

"We have followed the national guidance and have identified that (NAME REMOVED) has been in close contact with the affected child.

"In line with the national guidance we recommend that your child now stay at home and self-isolate until Monday, October 5, returning to school on Tuesday, October 6.

"We are asking you to do this to reduce the further spread of Covid-19 to others in the community.”
