Those with vaccination appointments have been told that if they feel safe travelling in the snow they can still receive their jab.

However, there are options to reschedule for those who are unable or do not want to travel.

A spokesperson for the Trust said: “COVID-19 vaccination appointments are still going ahead today at Sheffield Arena. However we do not want anyone to put themselves at risk if they feel it is not safe to travel due to the snow.

“If you are unable to come for your appointment you do not need to call the hospitals or Arena. 24 hours after your appointment was due to take place simply call 119 which is the number on your booking letter or use the web link on the booking letter to rebook a new appointment.”
