Sheffield loses more lives to Covid-19 as 13 more patients die across South Yorkshire

A further 23 coronavirus patients have died in South Yorkshire with Sheffield losing more lives to the deadly bug, the latest NHS have revealed.

According to Public Health England a further six people who tested positive for Covid-19 have died in Sheffield’s hospitals, bringing the death toll to 414.

Elsewhere in South Yorkshire, there were three more fatalities in Doncaster where the death toll now stands at 363.

In Rotherham there were also two more deaths, taking the total to 272 and in Barnsley there have now been 109 deaths after two more patients died.

Nationwide, a further 426 people who tested positive for the coronavirus have died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 35,886.

Patients were aged between 26 and 100 years old. All except five, aged 69 to 89 years old, had known underlying health conditions.

The dates of the deaths range from October 18 to November 12.

Their families have been informed.
