The trust made the decision as part of its efforts to minimise the spread of coronavirus among its customers.
It said: “The health and wellbeing of the people of Sheffield is at the very heart of our organisation and we are committed to ensuring that we reduce the risk of Coronavirus for all our customers to an absolute minimum.”

Hide AdAll memberships across the trust’s golf, fitness and lesson activities will be paused free of charge, ensuring that no customers lose their place.
No further monthly payments for memberships will be taken whilst venues are closed.A spokesperson for the trust added: “Keeping fit and active remains important for general health and wellbeing and is the best way to build resilience to viruses.
“We are working with our partners to provide our customers with ideas and solutions to maintain activity levels in the home.“We will continue to monitor the on-going coronavirus outbreak and will update our website and social media pages with all relevant information regarding re-opening.”
Venues that are affected include: Concord Sports Centre, the English Institute of Sport Sheffield, Heeley Swimming Pool, Hillsborough Leisure Centre, Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Springs Leisure Centre, Westfield Sports Centre, iceSheffield, Beauchief Golf Club, Birley Wood Golf Club, Tinsley Park Golf Club, Tapton Park Golf Club, and Sinfin Golf Club.
