Most of the places you’d usually pop into are closed – and a lot of public toilets have shut anyway. Here are just some of the public conveniences we’ve lost in the city – five were closed in 2015 alone, when Government cuts were blamed. Most of the 29 which The Star identified at that time had already disappeared.
A couple of those featured have been turned into bars but many remain empty and some have been demolished.
By the way, if you’re caught short, head for the transport interchange toilets. You’re welcome.
