9. Kopi and Chai
Over on Derbyshire Lane, in Meersbrook, you will find Kopi and Chai. This cafe serves hot and cold savoury treats for both brunch and lunch, as well as freshly baked cakes. A treat here will be sure to set you up for nearby Meersbrook Park. This park is very much ‘Sheffield’ in the sense of the gradient, but it’s a great workout and well worth the panoramic views of the city from the top.
Inside Rivelin Valley Park is the busy Rivelin Park Cafe. Here you can enjoy all from hot and cold drinks, and a range of food including sandwiches, ice-cream and cakes. From here you can follow the River Rivelin for several miles until you meet Manchester Road. It’s a lovely route through woodlands. If you continue along the road, you will find Rivelin Dams. Some of the route may be difficult with pushchairs due to tree roots. Photo: Andrew Roe
Inside Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet, off Abbeydale Road South in Beauchief, is Joni. This cafe is one of four in Sheffield and serves very Instagrammable breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes. You can start your walk at Beauchief Gardens for a stroll before going around the golf course to Beauchief Abbey, or you can visit Ecclesall Woods. Picture Scott Merrylees
