There's lots to celebrate this autumn at these Sheffield eateries

From awards to special events, there are lots of exciting things happening at restaurants across the region.
The MSK Professional Cookery Academy and the MSK Patisserie Skills Academy at City Campus have both opened their doors in Sheffield. Both The Cavendish at Baslow and The Devonshire Arms at Pilsley, in Derbyshire, have received accolades from The AA’s latest awards.

The Cavendish was among just seven hotels in the country to be newly recognised as having four red star status, which officially ranks them among the best of all the four star hotels in the country, while The Devonshire Arms as elevated in status from three to four AA stars, reflecting some recent improvements to their dining.

Eight South Yorkshire restaurants are featured in the AA’s 2020 Restaurant Guide. In Sheffield, they are Rafters, Nonnas, Whitley Hall Hotel, Jöro, 855 Restaurant and Juke and Loe.

A little further afar, The Wortley Arms and Ruddy Duck Restaurant, which are both in Wortley, also received the accolade.

Elsewhere, the MSK Professional Cookery Academy and the MSK Patisserie Skills Academy at City Campus have both opened their doors.

The academies are being backed by Sheffield College alumnus, former Michelin-star chef Rupert Rowley, and his employer MSK Ingredients.

The company will provide students with industry talks, workshops, work experience and placements to develop their employability skills.

Food lovers can also enjoy delicious food at an autumn gourmet evening on November 6 at The Rising Sun pub, on Fulwood Road.
