This follows an unprecedented level of demand for the one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with prices ranging from £215,000 to £1.4 million at the development on Fulwood Road, according to Land & New Homes agent Redbrik.

Standing where the legendary hotel once was in Broomhill, all apartments are finished to a high specification. Residents will have the use of a swimming pool, gym, on-site concierge and electric car charging points.

In response to buyer demands, the Redbrik Land & New Homes team helped create the bespoke apartment, which they say will feature expansive accommodation and an impressive roof terrace.

Buyers across all 14-storeys will be allowed to select further upgrades, including instant hot water taps, gold fittings in the bathroom and a fully integrated entertainment system.

Jen Beal, Redbrik Land & New Homes Manager, explained: “We are speaking to buyers every day who are delighted to have the opportunity to play a part in the Hallam Towers legacy.

“With less than 50 per cent of apartments remaining, we would encourage any interested parties to get in contact with the Redbrik Land & New Homes team to arrange an appointment at our marketing suite.”

The development is being sympathetically restored to its original form, using the latest materials and technology that the construction industry has to offer. The expected completion date is October 2022.

Hallam Towers was designed by Nelson Foley of the Trust House Architectural Department and construction started in 1963 at a cost of £1 million.

The Hallam Tower Hotel, owned by Trust Houses Group Ltd, opened on March 24. 1965 and boasted 136 bedrooms over its 11 stories, employing almost 150 staff members and covering a three and a half acre site

Its white tiered shape became instantly recognisable on the skyline as it hosted famous bands and footballers.

Guests included David Bowie who partied the night away after a show at Sheffield City Hall on the Ziggy Stardust tour. The hotel closed in 2004 and since then there have been various plans to develop the site. The tower was demolished in 2017.

Redbrik says Hallam Towers is a development unlike any seen in Sheffield, nestled between trendy Broomhill, exclusive Ranmoor and fashionable Endcliffe.

Its leafy location is just moments from green spaces, the city’s best schools and top-rated restaurants. Offering spectacular views across the greenest city in Europe, Redbrik says never again will this exceptional opportunity arise to be a part of Hallam Towers’ legacy.
