Sheffield development site goes under the hammer - with a guide price of just £1,000

The land, adjacent to 26 Daresbury Drive, Arbourthorne, is among nearly 40 lots going under the hammer at a property auction this month.
Sheffield Council had granted planning permission to erect a three-bedroom, detached home on the site, although this has now lapsed, as work did not begin within three years of getting the go-ahead.

Hide AdThe site is described by auction house Taylor James Auctions as “an irregular-shaped site of 2,690 sq feet” and carries a guide price of £1,000-plus.
Also going under the hammer at the auction on Thursday, February 25, is a two-bedroom property in Rotherham.
The mid-terrace house, at 33 Avondale Road, Bradgate, is described as “requiring modernisation throughout”.
Features include two reception rooms and a kitchen on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs, as well as a rear yard.

Hide AdIt has a guide price of just £10,000-plus – according to the latest UK house price index, the average property price in Rotherham in December 2020 was £154,860, while the England average was £269,150.
