Halifax revealed that house prices climbed to a record high in March, so we wanted to show you what your money can buy in Sheffield around the average cost of a home in Britain, which is £254,606.
Philip Price, spokesperson for Purplebricks in Sheffield, said: “The recent incentives in the Government’s budget, including the mortgage guarantee scheme and the stamp duty holiday extension, means we are seeing a huge number of buyers looking to get onto the property ladder.
“Here in Sheffield demand is extremely high, with many houses having viewings booked within minutes of them going on the market. In some cases offers are going above the asking price to secure the home. Buyers need to move quicker than ever before, but thankfully we have some great properties on the market.”
Here are four examples of Sheffield houses in the national average price range.
