Sheffield is Yorkshire's property hotspot

An unprecedented demand for new homes being built in Sheffield's suburbs demonstrates that the city is a growing property hotspot in the county.

A housebuilder has experienced great demand for its latest Sheffield homes,  with its latest development selling almost all its current availability in just a matter of weeks.

Miller Homes, which has its Woodmore Place development in Mosborough, and Graves Fold development in Norton, aims to support buyers wanting to live in the city by supplying homes in locations that help with modern day living.

'Sheffield is something of a property hotspot given that it is a fantastic city, packed with culture, retail and attractions and it is just minutes' drive from the stunning natural beauty of the Peak District,' said Natalie Moore sales manager at Miller Homes, Yorkshire.

'Coupled with the variety of homes we have and the ways in which we support buyers to realise their house buying dream, purchasers have been keen to secure their chosen plot early in the sales process at both of our developments.'

There are currently just a handful of three and four bedroom homes available at the developments, however, further releases will be made in the coming weeks.

'Our reserving online option means that, should a buyer not be able to visit a site they are still able to reserve their desired home and make an appointment just a few days later,' said Natalie.

'And, if the plot has not yet been released it is possible in some cases to place an '˜early bird' reservation on a home, meaning that first refusal is given to that buyer once the plot has been officially released for sale.'

Prices at Woodmore Place currently start from £190,000 for a three bedroom '˜Hawthorne' style of property, and at Graves Fold from £350,000 for a four bedroom detached.

Another Miller Homes development that has done well is Eyre View in Chesterfield.

This site has just released its show home for sale, giving purchasers the chance to buy a brand new property with interiors created by a leading designer.

Eyre View has a few four and five bedroom homes remaining for sale, including the show home. Inspired by afternoon tea at The Ritz, the show home, priced at £375,000, has a colour scheme of white, black, gold and rose pink,  bringing an air of sophistication while embracing modern life.
