Mavi Ruya’s light lunch has all the high quality fine dining that regular diners have come to expect, but at a lower price and with portions at a size suitable for those on the go.

The Abbeydale Road eaterie has a growing reputation for superb culinary taste and the new menu shows no sign of slacking. Traditional Turksih cuisine is important to the team and favourites such as hummus or babaganoush as well as fabulous Turkish beef sausage – sucuk. And the special lamb – marinated and then roasted cooked in a clay pot – will always be a favourite.

A three course lunch is on offer for £21.90 and the 10% discount applies on all orders between 11am and 4pm on weekdays.

Managing director Ismail Aslan said: “We wanted to give something back to the locals who have become our regulars, and to entice others to try our food.

“We love Turkish food and try to stick to authentic methods and recipes to prepare some of the finest cuisine in the city.”

Shoppers, students, older people and business clients all frequent the restaurant and Ismail says many have become regulars, on first name terms with the staff.
