Agency's new city office

Creative Sheffield's Ian Bromley has hailed a decision by film and media industry promotions agency Screen Yorkshire to open of a new office in the city as a major vote of confidence for local media companies.

Mr Bromley, who heads Sheffield's new city development company, said: "The city is pushing ahead on various industry fronts and businesses working in the media sector are increasingly important to the region's economy.

"The opening of a Screen Yorkshire office is a major vote of confidence for the city's media companies.

"We have a number of well-established games and interactive media companies as well as highly-regarded film and documentary makers and a related festival.

"With Screen Yorkshire now sharing offices with Creative Sheffield we will be working together closely to boost the sector."
