Artists get award for enormous Yorkshire painting

The winners of the Tour de Yorkshire land art competition have been presented with their trophy.

30 June 2016....... Sir Gary Verity, Chief Executive of Welcome to Yorkshire, presents the Tour de Yorkshire Land Art trophy to sheffield Artists at the Landmark Collective, James Brunt and Timm CORRECT Cleasby for their work entitled The Finest View.
The 70-metre high, 40-metre wide painting on the grassy airfield at the Yorkshire Gliding Club at Sutton Bank beat off fierce competition from 11 other finalists to be crowned the 2016 winner. Welcome to Yorkshire Chief Sir Gary Verity presented the award to artists James Brunt and Timm Cleasby from the Landmark Collective.

The collective designed and created a 70-metre high, 40-metre wide piece of art as part of the competition, which was painted on the airfield at the Yorkshire Gliding Club on Sutton Bank.
