Balor Knights, The Runaway Girl, tonight

Once a strictly jazz venue before a name and ownership change its intimate stage has now expanded an appetite for funk and house to include a wide range of largely local bands, last week providing the setting for a lively homecoming show by rising stars The Dodgems.

But it's intmacy is more than suited to the less raucous antics of Balor Knights, who tonight come with a supporting cast that includes those happy chappies Zapp Brannigan.

Elsewhere tonight there is a benefit show for the Royal Society For The Blind at Snig Hill's Under The Boardwalk. There you can catch The Jam Rats, Intermission and Silent Sundays.

If you don't fanncy a trip into town then Sally Doherty Los Amores Duo bring some fine flavours to Nether Green and The Rising Sun.

Rotherham Jazz, meanwhile, tonight hosts The Heart Of England Jazz Band at The Transport Club.
