Blunkett visit to service
A PIONEERING mental health support service for vulnerable young people in Sheffield received a visit from a city MP.
Brightside MP David Blunkett called at the Sheffield Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services offices.
The service, part of Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, provides specialist mental health care to young people aged eight to 18 who have offended or are at risk of offending. The organisation has become a model of best practice for other groups.
Mr Blunkett said: “This service is unique to Sheffield and it was both stimulating and informative to find out about the work of the service in supporting vulnerable young people.”
