B&Q plan will mean 50 jobs
A DIY firm could create 50 new jobs by doubling the size of its store in Rotherham.
B&Q is planning to expand its superstore at Cortonwood Retail Park by extending a number of departments including its kitchen and bathroom showrooms and soft furnishings.
The store, which currently employs 150 people at Cortonwood and has more than 300 stores around the UK, is also planning to improve its green credentials by installing a state-of-the-art water recycling system, which uses rainwater for watering plants, and an in-store dimming system which responds to levels of natural light.
