Campaign set to continue
SOUTH Yorkshire clean air campaign Care4Air is set to continue, thanks to new cash backers from the South Yorkshire Local Transport Plan.
The campaign, a partnership between Sheffield, Barnsley, Doncaster and Rotherham councils, as well as South Yorkshire Travelwise, was originally funded by the Government.
The change in funding should allow it to get even more involved with transport companies to try to encourage the most environmentally-friendly fuels and practices.
Frances Adams, spokesperson for the South Yorkshire Local Transport Plan, said: “We need to become more travel efficient.”
