Children are really wild about animal visitors

Dozens turned out at the venue to take part in Zoolab – an event which saw experts bring in wild animals for the children to touch and learn about.

Creatures on show at the Doncaster Council event ranged from a gecko lizard to a white albino rat.

It was part of a national scheme called the Big Wild Read, which aims to encourage pupils to read and take an interest in nature.
