Chris leads fishy goings on at Market

Local actor Chris Walker, star of Coronation Street and The Bill, will bring his own showbiz style and culinary skills to the event outside the Fish Market on Saturday October 6.

Chris will be joined by a host of local chefs who will be stepping up to the plate and cooking up a variety of recipes. They will also be on hand to offer hints, tips and expert advice, as well as providing plenty of samples.

Carl James, project manager of the Yorkshire and Humber seafood group, said: “We know from our Seafood Week campaigns in previous years that the public really enjoy the chance to learn expert techniques from these chefs and try the dishes themselves.

“Doncaster has one of the best markets in the region. We are delighted to hold our demonstrations there and take full advantage of the quality produce on offer. We are encouraging as many people to come along and see for themselves how easy it can be to build seafood into a healthy, balanced diet.”

Demonstrations run from 11am until 3pm.
