Emergency services have been called to City Road, Sheffield, this afternoon.

An ambulance has been in attendance on the road, dealing with what transport bosses have described as an ‘issue’, with trams temporarily unable to run.

A spokesman for Stagecoach Supertram said: “An ambulance attending an issue on City Road is resulting in the Blue and Purple being unable to run between Sheffield Station and Gleadless Townend.”

It is understood they have now restarted after some services had to be cancelled.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service said an ambulance had attended a medical incident at a private address on City Road.
