City teacher commended
A SHEFFIELD-born teacher was highly commended in this year's Teaching Awards for the Yorkshire and Humberside region.
Beverley Bitting taught at Beck Primary in Shiregreen, before moving on to Firth Park Comprehensive.
She then took a degree in modern languages and European economics at Bradford University.
Beverley is now teaching languages at Almondbury High School in Huddersfield and was commended in the category for Outstanding New Teacher of the Year.
