Council goods aid reaches 154 families

BOSSES at Doncaster Council say the authority has handed household equipment to 154 families after last month's floods.

They have distributed white goods and furniture to flood victims, as well providing caravans in Toll Bar to families who were forced to leave their homes.

A spokesman said: “This assistance has helped people to get back into their own homes or as people move into temporary accommodation.”

The construction of a caravan park at Toll Bar is expected to be completed by the end of this month. When completed the 25 caravans currently in use in the village will be moved onto the site and a further 25 provided.
