Council opposes plan

TOWN councillors have raised concern about amended plans to demolish a bungalow in Tickhill and replace it with two detached houses.Councillors have strongly objected to the proposal as Pinfold Lane is an area of the town traditionally rural and the proposed development is seen as totally inappropriate.

They also pointed out that Pinfold Lane is very narrow and additional traffic from two dwellings will add to congestion and to the existing hazards.

Their view is that the proposal remains environmentally unfriendly even though the number of trees to be removed is much smaller than the previous application. The proposal also requires the demolition of a perfectly sound modern dwelling.
