Course to help protect children in South Yorkshire churches
A training course is to be held today aimed at preventing the possible abuse of children and vulnerable adults involved in South Yorkshire churches.
Devised and delivered by The Churches’ Child Protection Advisory Service - the UK’s leading expert in advising and training Christian and faith-based organisations in safeguarding practices - the event is one of about 50 to be held across the UK this year.
It is to be held at Killamarsh Gospel Hall, Stanley Street, Killamarsh.
A spokesman said: “Those doing the session are fully equipped to work safely with children and vulnerable adults in church and other settings.
“It will benefit all who work with them in local churches, such as youth and children’s workers, Sunday School helpers and church leaders.”
