Dominique Wilson is 34 years old and 26 weeks pregnant, but says her Harborough Avenue flat in Manor Park has become impossible to live in.

She says the issue is mainly noise nuisance, but that she has also had her flat’s letter-box vandalised and been verbally threatened, all within the last 12 months.

And she says that despite reporting the problems to Together Housing many times, the housing association refuse to do anything about it and have effectively said she has to put up with it.

“I am trying to move but I shouldn’t have to be forced out of my own home,” she said.

"I pay my rent and I am a good tenant but it feels like they can do anything and there are no consequences.

“It starts in the early evening and can go on until 5 o'clock in the morning.

“If this was a Sheffield Council property it would have been dealt with a long time ago.”

Dominique says the problem has got so bad that she sometimes sleeps at her aunty’s house to get away from the noise.

And she says she is terrified about what will happen if the problems continue when her baby son arrives in a few months time.

She said: “The area does have a bit of a reputation but it wasn’t that bad until these new people moved in.

“When I got out I have to get my aunty to come to my door I am that worried about it.

“I shouldn’t be made to feel that way.”

Together Housing responded by saying they are aware of Dominique’s concerns and were ‘working towards’ a solution.

Caroline Grosvenor, head of sustainable neighbourhoods for Together Housing, said, “We take reports of ASB very seriously and we are aware of the issues that Ms Wilson has reported.

“We are unable to go into detail about these and we have been in regular contact with Ms Wilson. We will continue to work with her towards a solution.”
