Car seized after driver blocks entrance to busy Sheffield car park, trapping motorists inside

Police were called by frustrated drivers to the blockage which had been caused by the inconsiderate motorist at the NCP Sheffield Hartshead Square car park on Campo Lane.

Sergeant Adam Wood, of the Broomhall neighbourhood policing team, said: “As the backlog of waiting cars built up, and car horns rose like a crescendo, the driver eventually returned.

“Sadly, as if the driver didn't bring enough attention to himself and dozens of angry motorists, the driver was illegally driving otherwise in accordance with a driving licence. No licence, no car!

“Now reported for causing an obstruction of the highway. Their car is now at an impound yard awaiting the driver producing the correct documentation (If they don't the car will likely be turned into coke cans!).”
