He was praised elsewhere as a ‘brilliant father’, with Liam Black commenting: “Someone knows something. Please for the sake of his children get the people who did this brought to justice.”

Chris Drury wrote how he ‘always had a smile’, Laura Carol called him a ‘great guy’ who ‘would help anyone’ and was ‘very proud of his family’, while Laura Hall said: “Rest in paradise Marcus. You had the most beautiful soul ever.”

Mr Ramsay’s Facebook profile shows that he was born in Birmingham but came to Sheffield as a boy and studied at King Edward VII School.

Mr Ramsay was taken to hospital with injuries to his upper body and sadly died shortly afterwards, with a post mortem giving the cause of death as a stab wound.

Three other men, all aged 24, were also injured that night and needed hospital treatment before being discharged.
