Here is everything we know about the incident so far.
Residents reported hearing ‘four distinct gunshots’ at around 4.30am this morning, with one saying they were woken up by ‘shouting’.
Police were called to the scene at Madehurst Gardens at that time, and an investigation into the discharge of a firearm was launched.

Hide AdResidents say that a police helicopter wa over the area at around 5.25am.
A cordon was put in place and is being patrolled. South Yorkshire Police confirmed there would be heightened police in the area.
Police have also confirmed that two houses were damaged as a result of the shootings, and two bullet holes were clearly visible in the window of one property this afternoon.
There have been no reports of anybody injured.
Although there have been other shootings in the area in recent months, residents living on Madehurst Road and Madehurst Rise, just off it, described it as a largely peaceful street and spoke of their shock at what had happened.

Hide AdOne man, who did not give his name, said: “We haven’t had any issues around here and I was shocked when I heard what had happened because it’s usually a quiet place. I should imagine it’s drug-related because it usually is.”
Another man said: “We heard four loud bangs and that was it. We just assumed it was fireworks at first because we hear them all the time around here.
"We were quite shocked when we found out what had happened because normally it’s quiet round here. Something went off the other week but I don’t think that was related in any way to this.”
In July, there were two shootings on Kenninghall Road, Arbourthorne, and Myrtle Road, Heeley, in the space of 15 minutes.

Hide AdAnd in May, a number of gunshots were heard on Farish Place, Heeley, where officers later found a parked car and a road sign with bullet holes.
