Giant sound system seized after more 'noise nuisance' on notorious Sheffield estate

Enforcement officers from Sheffield Council and South Yorkshire Police have moved to tackle one of the biggest issues on a notorious city estate after seizing a huge sound system from a property.

On Wednesday (19 August) the Fir Vale neighbourhood policing team and the Council's environmental protection department executed a warrant at an address on Wade Street in Page Hall due to “repeat noise nuisance offending.”

A Sheffield North East neighbourhood policing team spokesperson said: “The council street wardens, enforcement officers, neighbourhood team and the community have all worked together to bring the case resulting in the court issuing a warrant for seizure of the equipment which has been causing loud music and noise nuisance in the area.
