Gunman at large as victim recovers from shooting in Sheffield street

The culprit shot a 28-year-old man on Staniforth Road, Darnall, at around 5pm on Saturday, January 4.
South Yorkshire Police said a gun was fired after two cars pulled up alongside the victim and a number of people got out.

Hide AdDetectives said there was a ‘confrontation,’ during which a man was shot in his upper body.
He was taken to hospital and underwent emergency surgery.
No arrests have yet been made over the shooting.
The shooting is being treated as ‘targeted’ attack and is not being linked with any other incidents ‘at this time’.
Police patrols have been stepped up in Darnall in the wake of the shooting.
