A gunman is still roaming the streets today after a shooting in Sheffield.

Detectives launched an investigation on Friday, January 24 after a 24-year-old man was shot as he sat in a car on Hill Street, close to the junction with London Road.

He was shot at around 1pm and staggered into the Premier store on nearby Bramall Lane to raise the alarm.

Paramedics treated the victim and he was taken to hospital but has since been discharged and is expected to make a full recovery.

Witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage from the area on the afternoon of the shooting are urged to contact South Yorkshire Police.

Extra police patrols have been ordered in the wake of the gun attack.

Anyone with information should call South Yorkshire Police on 101 and quote incident 427 of January 24.
