A gun was fired in Clough Road, near Bramall Lane, last Saturday night, killing 30-year-old Khurm Javed.
The dad-of-two, who worked as a solicitor for London Road-based law firm Alison Law Solicitors, is said to have been shot following a ‘confrontation between two parties’ beforehand.
He died at the scene, triggering a murder probe.

Hundreds of people gathered near to the crime scene yesterday to remember Mr Javed as the police probe into his murder continued.
South Yorkshire Police said ‘extensive specialist resources’ have been deployed to the area, both for reassurance and to ensure that the murder investigation moves as quickly as possible.
Armed response officers are among those involved in the policing operation.

Hide AdSheffield’s District Commander, Temporary Chief Superintendent Shelley Hemsley, said tackling gun crime is a police ‘priority’ in Sheffield.
“I want to be clear that tackling gun crime is a priority for my teams here in Sheffield, significant work is taking place to deter, detect and disrupt criminals involved in this type of criminality,” she said.
Last year, 66 guns were seized by the force in a bid to reduce violence and fear on the streets and to save lives.
She urged anyone with information about the latest murder or gun crime to come forward.

“By strengthening the networks that already exist, we will be able to take more preventative action and increase the opportunities we have to arrest and disrupt criminals.
“We have been working hard to develop these relationships and those efforts will continue.”
