Knife attack: Teenager slashed in the face during horror attack after late-night fight

A man’s face was cut when he was hit over his head with a knife during a fight in Rotherham.

The 19-year-old was injured when violence flared on Canklow Road, Canklow, in the early hours of this morning.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at around 1.15am.

South Yorkshire Police said they were alerted to a fight, during which it is claimed one of the men involved used a knife to hit another over the head, which caused a cut to his face.

Detective Inspector Lee Wilson said: “Our officers remain in Canklow Road this morning carrying out forensic enquiries. We are also conducting work to trace the other men believed to be involved.

“If you witnessed the incident, or hold any information which could help us progress our investigation, please contact police on 101.”
