McDonalds wrappers, plastic glasses, bottles and bags can be seen dumped on the ground.

The illegal lockdown gathering has been reported to South Yorkshire Police.

A man who saw the rubbish on the bowling green and the damage to the grass said: “Judging by the amount of letter and glasses left behind, there will have been several people gathered – breaking Covid-19 rules.

“They also climbed fences to get to the bowling green and caused damage to the maintained playing surface.”
