Man, 18, rushed to hospital and road closed after huge fight breaks out on Sheffield street

A man is in hospital after he was seriously injured in a brawl in Sheffield last night.

The 18-year-old involved in a fight between a group of men on Queens Road.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 9.49pm and found the wounded man, who was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries.

He is said to be in a stable condition today.

Queens Road is blocked off and there is a large cordon in place around the crime scene while police enquiries are carried out.

Buses have been diverted away from the police cordon.

South Yorkshire Police said: “Investigations are at a very early stage and enquiries are continuing at this time to ascertain the full circumstances of the incident.

“Road closures remain in place in the Queens Road area and you will see a heightened police presence throughout the day.”
