South Yorkshire Police’s regional marine and underwater search unit vans were seen parked up, and officers were seen getting into the ponds and searching on Monday.

Witnesses said that they arrived at around 12.00pm and remain at the scene.

A spokesperson said: “Specialist underwater officers are conducting searches in the ponds at Graves Park today Monday, 24 May.

"The searches are in connection to organised crime activity across Sheffield.”
