Police probe into shooting of boy, 12, in Sheffield continues

A 25-year-old man has been charged over the gun attack and appeared in court on Saturday but the police probe is ongoing.

Stephen Dunford, of Fellbrigg Road, Arbourthorne, is accused of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life over the incident on Northern Avenue, Arbourthorne, on Sunday, January 12.

A young boy was injured in a drive-by shooting as he stood in the street with a group of teenage friends.

The youngster was taken to hospital and underwent surgery for a gunshot wound to his leg.

A total of three arrests have been made so far over the shooting.
