Police probe launched into firework attack on flat in Sheffield

Three fire crews from across Sheffield responded to the incident on White Thorns View, Batemoor, after the flat went up in flames at 9pm on Saturday, October 31.
A firework was hurled at the property, which was empty at the time, but neighbouring flats were occupied and a concerned resident banged on all the doors to notify residents of the blaze.

Hide AdNo arrests have yet been made over the incident but officers are investigating.
South Yorkshire Police said: “Emergency services were called at around 9.30pm on Saturday, October 31 following reports of a fire at a property on White Thorns View, Sheffield.
“There was nobody present in the property and nobody was injured.
“The matter is being investigated as an arson. Enquiries are ongoing.”
