Sheffield bus driver repeatedly punched in the face by passenger after argument

The driver of the 97 bus was reportedly assaulted at 12pm on Friday, 29 May following an argument over payment when a man boarded the bus on Baslow Road, Totley as it was heading into Sheffield. A South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said the man “allegedly punched the driver in the face a number of times, causing cuts and bruises.”
He then reportedly left the scene in the direction of Mickley Lane.
